Oh look, a meme

I have been having linguistics on the brain lately. And here is a meme a friend just posted. It's interesting to me because we grew up in the same town, but she was born - and her family is from - Louisiana, whereas my dad is from the midwest. So we actually have a different vocabulary for some of these words:

Age: 31

Where did you grow up: Wappingers Falls, NY

What do you call:

a creek.
