Christmas Wish List

Gah! I can't believe it's already December 4th. I just got a chunk of shopping done, but man, this is a late start.

Here are some things I have a yen for:

Birthday Party stuff:

I'm looking for ideas on how to rig up one or two sheets/screens to project onto - this is more of a favor than a gift idea, but I figure I'll put it out there.

I'm also looking to borrow a whole big mess of Christmas lights to decorate with - but one can never own too many blue Christmas lights.

Housey stuff:

Ikea Omar 1-Shelf cabinet, 36" wide, $80.  My kitchen is sadly disorganized since that nice wall shelf I bought wilted under the weight of my cookbooks.

It would be kind of nice to have an outdoor table for my porch.

A clever storage solution for my movie games, which have over flowed the shopping tote they were originally in.  I'm thinking of a tasteful storage crate with a lid.

While I'm on the subject of storage, I'm stymied in my paper organizing project because I ran out of these Orange Stockholm Letter Boxes: http://www.containerstore.com/browse/Product.jhtml?CATID=74541&PRODID=10017274

Light jars - still think they're a cool idea - they store up solar light all day, and glow for six hours at night.

Candles - Christmasy or otherwise

I am totally enamoured with these Dalidecals I found on etsy.com today: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=17705405

http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=18163219 (I'd want them any of them in dark brown to match the molding, except for the poppies which I think look great in deep red.)

My mom just gave me one of those long bean bags that sits in front of the door to keep the cold out.  It works great!  As opposed to the stupid high tech one I tried last year.  A couple more of those would be really useful.

Other stuff:

Bike lock

Cooler -  A collapsible one might be nice.

Sleeping bag

A good-sized tent - 4-person or more

EDIT: a car stereo.  I don't need bells/whistles/ricketarack, I just need a stereo that won't play burned CD's like it's doing me an occasional favor.

A calender

A colander

Subscriptions to Newsweek and Marie Claire

Massage at Inman Oasis in Cambridge

Yoga classes at Blissful Monkey in JP

Cookbooks

Saffron

Books that will change my life

Music I don't know I like yet.  Ooh!  Or an itunes gift certificate so I will be forced to get some new stuff onto my ipod.

The Hair Yearbook: http://share.shutterfly.com/action/project/9Ebsm7lq5 It was on the list last year, so clearly I can live without it, but man, it would be really nice to have it.

Any Polaroid film that you, your loved ones and business associates might still be hoarding.

A big-ass, flat-screen tv.

A Toyota Yaris.

An Amtrak ticket from San Francisco to San Diego and points in-between.

A country estate where I can grow and raise all of my own food.

A trip to a massage school in India where I will be the resident practice client.

A  bill of sale for The Milky Way and all its contents.

A surprise dinner party catered by Amy Sedaris.  At some point during the meal, Jon Stewart can come crashing through my front door like he's Kramer on Seinfeld, and then John Linnell and John Flansberg can come out of my bedroom and do an acoustic set they just wrote about my apartment.
